Founded in 2016, Animal Law is a nonprofit organisation based in Italy which aims to bring together lawyers and other professionals interested in the progress of animal law. Our aspiration is to strengthen the development of more comprehensive and effective laws and to achieve a better enforcement of existing animal protection laws in Italy and Europe.
What we do
We organise meetings, conferences, training courses for lawyers, veterinaries and other professional about animal welfare legislation and related topics.
We contribute to the development of animal studies, running an online magazine focusing on current issues in animal law, welfare and ethics. We also operate to help spreading public discussion on the topic of animal rights.
We are also developing educational projects in schools and universities.
Finally, we provide professional legal advice for individuals and organisations on animal law subjects.
Even though we are currently focused on Italy, we have planned to start our European operations by the end of 2017.
At the moment, we are actively working to have our English website fully functional by March 2017 and an English version of our webzine is due by the third quarter of the same year.
